1. Yamaka Stand is this kind of shop
Yamaka Stand is a takeaway specialty shop in Naha City that offers coffee and baked goods. Look for the lush banyan tree that marks the entrance.

The eye-catching moss-green exterior makes you involuntarily murmur, "It's so stylish!" The charming shop and the banyan tree create a unique atmosphere that makes you think, "I want to open a shop like this myself...!"

The shop is so small that it gets quite crowded with just two adults inside, giving it a cozy feel. But this cozy atmosphere is precisely what makes Yamaka Stand so appealing. Combined with the quietness of its location just off the main street, it gives you the feeling of a hidden gem that only you know about.

And what's most appealing about Yamaka Stand is the personalities of the husband and wife who run the shop. Their attentive service is so pleasant that you not only get delicious baked goods and coffee, but you also feel energized.
They don't do much flashy advertising because they want to cherish their local customers. This is also because they don't want customers to come and be disappointed that they can't buy the sweets they want. However, their down-to-earth charm has spread through social media and word of mouth, and they seem to have a steady stream of customers.
"Sometimes, a local grandmother will buy a large quantity of our baked goods to take as a gift, and our stock of baked goods will disappear all at once (laughs)."
Watching the shop owner speak so happily, you can see how deeply rooted Yamaka Stand is in the community, much like a banyan tree with strong, firmly established roots.
2. Yamaka Stand Menu
At Yamaka Stand, you can enjoy homemade baked goods made in-house. They offer adorable sweets like scones and cakes that will make your mouth water just by looking at them.

The baked goods are displayed in adorable wooden boxes. This clever presentation makes the baked goods look even more appealing, and I always end up buying too much... (lol)

Among them, the blueberry cream cheese scones are particularly popular. Depending on the timing, you might even be able to get a piping hot, freshly baked scone.

To complement your baked goods, we also have a wide selection of drinks, from coffee and tea to juice.

The Yamaka Stand character sticker stuck right in the middle of the drink container is undeniably adorable. The menu includes a set of baked goods and a drink.

3. On the bench under the banyan tree
If you visit Yamaka Stand, you absolutely must check out the bench area under the banyan tree. You can enjoy your takeout baked goods and drinks there.

So, I decided to try their most popular item, the blueberry cream cheese scone. The sweetness of the sugar coating and the tartness of the whole blueberry inside were a perfect combination, and I finished it in no time.

The sunlight filtering through the trees is so pleasant, and I feel like this atmosphere makes the scones taste even better.

The location was superb, and the comfortable, relaxed atmosphere made me hesitant to leave my seat.

4. Access to Yamaka Stand
To get to Yamaka Stand, it's recommended to use the Tsuboya Pottery Museum, which is also the entrance to Yachimun Street, as a landmark.

Turn at the intersection where "Tenbusu Naha" is located on Kokusai Street, and it's about a 5-minute walk.
If you continue straight ahead, you'll see a sign for Yamaka Stand on your left, just before you reach the Tsuboya Pottery Museum.

Yamaka Stand is located just off the road immediately after this sign (commonly known as Tempura Hill), on the left.

Yamaka Stand does not have its own parking lot, so we recommend using a paid parking lot.
