Joy

Daytime high temperatures are often around 20 degrees Celsius, making it a pleasant temperature, but when it gets colder, the influence of northerly winds can cause minimum temperatures to drop to around 10 degrees Celsius.

This is the coldest time of year in Okinawa, but because fewer people visit, airfares and other travel prices are quite attractive.

18.5 ℃

Joy
Joy

February in Okinawa can feel quite chilly, especially in the first half of the month. While temperatures are almost the same as in January, rainfall tends to be slightly higher, with more light rain, which can make it feel colder.

February, like January, is a relatively good time to travel because airfares and other fares tend to be cheaper!

20 ℃

Joy
Joy

March in Okinawa isn't exactly hot, but you can still break a sweat if you're active in the sun.
On sunny days, you can get by with just a short-sleeved shirt, making it one of the most pleasant times of the year.

March is a great time to visit, as the weather is stable and the temperature is pleasant.
However, since it's spring break, prices tend to be higher during this time.
Let's avoid this by booking early and getting a discount!

21.2 ℃

Joy
Joy

April in Okinawa is a time of year when the weather is relatively mild, making it often a perfect season for sightseeing.
While it can get chilly in the mornings and evenings, the daytime temperatures often feel more like early summer than spring.

April, with spring break over and things settling down, is the best time of year to travel, both in terms of weather and price.

24.9 ℃

straight face
Joy

Okinawa in May is extremely hot and humid, with humidity levels around 80%, so summer clothes are perfectly fine.
However, a characteristic of Okinawa in May is that the perceived temperature changes frequently due to strong sunlight and strong winds.

In Okinawa, the rainy season typically begins after Golden Week, making the period immediately following the holidays the cheapest time to find accommodation.
However, it is a time of year with a lot of rain, so I wouldn't really recommend it.

27.5 ℃

Sorry
straight face

Okinawa experiences a sharp rise in temperature in June, with many rainy days. Humidity will exceed 83% especially until mid-June, before the end of the rainy season, making it feel muggy.
As the rainy season ends, the oppressive humidity subsides, but the sun becomes stronger, and the weather transforms into that of a full-fledged summer.

Similar to May, the price will be cheaper because it's the middle of the rainy season, but it's not a time I would particularly recommend.

28.8 ℃

Joy
straight face

July in Okinawa is the height of summer. It's an extremely hot season, with minimum temperatures reaching nearly 27 degrees Celsius.
The weather will remain sunny with low humidity, but from mid-month onwards, humid air will move in, resulting in hot and muggy weather.

Compared to May and June, July in Okinawa offers more stable weather, and since it's before the summer holidays, prices aren't too high, making it a recommended time to visit.

29 ℃

Sorry
Sorry

August in Okinawa is the height of summer. Just like in July, there are many sunny days, and the weather is stable unless there is a typhoon.
Although it is hot, it is not excessively hot, so you will likely find it more comfortable than Honshu.

Because it's impossible to predict when a typhoon will strike, this season is not recommended for honeymoons or other travel.
Also, with summer holiday pricing, it will be quite a strain on your wallet.

28 ℃

Sorry
Sorry

In Okinawa in September, the sun is still so strong that it could almost be called the middle of summer, and the heat continues.
As with August, typhoons are frequent this season, so it's necessary to check frequently.

25.2 ℃

Sorry
Joy

October in Okinawa is the time when the long summer finally comes to an end.
Compared to September, the probability of typhoons making landfall decreases, and the weather gradually becomes more stable. It's a season when you can gradually start enjoying a comfortable life in Okinawa.

Although landfalls are infrequent, typhoons can still hit the area during this season, so it might not be the best time for an important honeymoon or wedding.

23.2 ℃

Joy
Joy

November in Okinawa can be quite warm during the day, but it's generally a pleasant season.
Even if the temperature is a little high, the lack of humidity makes it a comfortable time to fully enjoy sightseeing without feeling uncomfortable.

In addition to the weather, the prices are also quite favorable at this time, so it's a highly recommended time to visit!

19.9 ℃

Joy
straight face

Compared to Honshu, the weather is quite pleasant, but the cold intensifies in the latter half of December, marking the arrival of true winter.
Another characteristic of Okinawa in December is that it's often very windy. Even if it's warm during the day, strong winds can make it feel quite chilly.

While prices return to normal compared to November, the weather is stable and more pleasant than on Honshu, making it a highly recommended time to visit.

Recommended points from the editor-in-chief of Okinawa Lab!

  • The best times for a honeymoon are March-April and October-November, when the weather is generally calm!
  • The months that see the most couples actually visiting for their honeymoon or wedding are October, November, and July!

FAQ

Does the plan include the rental of wedding attire (wedding dress)?

You can have your wedding attire fitting in advance at your nearest "Small Wedding" salon (by appointment only). If it is difficult to have a fitting in advance, it can be done at the salon on the day of the wedding.

Is there a preliminary meeting?

We will have a preliminary meeting. During the preliminary meeting, we will: ① confirm the schedule for the day, ② do a fitting, and ③ discuss hair and makeup.

Could you please explain the schedule for the day?

There is no charge for bringing in one garment, but if you bring in multiple garments, there will be a charge of 44,000 yen per garment.

If I bring my own dress, will the cost of the dress be deducted from the price, making it cheaper?

値引きはありません。

I'd like to book a plan, but can I book flights at the same time?

We can also arrange flights. Please let us know if you have a preferred airline and time slot. We are also happy to discuss options with you and will provide guidance tailored to your plan.

What happens to the filming in case of bad weather?

We will take advantage of the natural beauty of the scenery even on cloudy or rainy days. In the event of a typhoon, storm warning, or strong winds, we will continue filming unless the filming team deems it necessary to cancel.

When will this decision be made?

In the case of a typhoon, we will make a decision two days in advance.

If the event is cancelled, will I receive a refund?

In case of cancellation, we will refund you the amount excluding any actual expenses incurred.

I'm still considering it, but if I book a plan, will I be charged a cancellation fee immediately?

Cancellation fees apply from 21 days prior to departure; cancellations made before that time will not incur any fees (however, if you have booked flights, cancellation fees may apply immediately after booking is complete). Please consider this and feel free to contact us with any questions.
