There's something about a meal enjoyed with a view of the sea that always seems to taste better than usual.

So, this time we visited "Kapuka," a cafe with a terrace overlooking the oceanfront.
I enjoyed a brief tea time surrounded by a tropical atmosphere.

Chatan is located in central Okinawa, about a 40-minute drive from Naha Airport.

This resort offers an atmosphere reminiscent of a foreign country and is a popular spot not only for tourists but also for locals.

As mentioned earlier, the wagyu cafe "KAPUKA" is located in that area.

It's only about a 5-minute walk from Mihama American Village, making it perfect for a break while shopping or strolling around.

Upon entering, you're greeted by an interior design based on white with green houseplants.

Every table has sofa seating, making it a comfortable and relaxing place to sit.

I visited around 12:30 PM on a weekday and was lucky enough to get a seat, but it quickly became full shortly after.

Reservations are essential to secure a terrace seat or a window seat with a swing.

As the name of the restaurant suggests, all the meat used in the menu is carefully selected by the owner after he has personally tasted it and found it delicious.

While a stylish seaside cafe might seem intimidating to men, they actually have a great selection of hearty, substantial dishes!

We also have plenty of salads packed with vegetables and a wide variety of sweets that women will love.

Since they open at 9 AM, it's a great option for breakfast or brunch.

In keeping with the colorful exterior concept of the terrace seating, the interior is also very pop.

The bar counter was lined with a colorful array of cocktails and four kinds of vinegar-based drinks.

This is self-service, and you can drink as much as you like!

It seems like a service that can make you beautiful from the inside out, which is great news for women.

Here are some of the menu items that caught my eye.

As I briefly mentioned earlier, the restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes, from its signature wagyu beef cutlets and visually appealing salads to desserts.

On this day, I ordered Stella's Rainbow Bread (1,180 yen), which is limited to 30 servings a day and was my main objective, while my companion ordered the Fruit Pudding Brûlée (780 yen).

Wagyu beef is great, but when you're at a resort, you absolutely can't miss out on a visually appealing meal.

While we were chatting, Stella's Rainbow Bread arrived.

The main dish is visually stunning bread, served with fruit and salad on the side.

The all-important Rainbow Bread is lightly toasted, giving it a subtle aroma... It may look flashy, but it tastes really good!

I chose Nutella, but mango butter is also available as an option.

I also took a bite of the crème brûlée...the caramelized topping was crisp, and the inside had a rich, eggy flavor.

It's hard to tell from the photo, but it was quite large, so I recommend sharing if you're having a meal.

After finishing my meal and looking around the restaurant, I was surprised to see so many foreign customers!

I was able to fully enjoy the resort atmosphere that is so typical of Chatan, making me almost forget I was in Okinawa, and I am very satisfied.

I visited the restaurant around lunchtime, but apparently the best time to go is in the evening.

As you can see from the photos, the pinkish sky reflecting on the sea is truly romantic.

They also have a great selection of alcoholic beverages, so next time I'd love to enjoy some with some wagyu beef!
