Okinawa is a place where you'll have more opportunities to show off your skin, whether you're playing on the beach or swimming in the pool.
At times like these, you might want to wear accessories that will make you stand out from the crowd.
"Ti-da Beach" is an accessory shop that fulfills the wishes of such girls. It mainly sells handmade items and carefully selected goods chosen by the owner, offering unique accessories that you won't find anywhere else.
Among them, the accessory-making experience available in the store is a popular activity.
This time, I actually tried making a bracelet!

1. What kind of shop is "Ti-da Beach"?
"Ti-da Beach" is located on Ukishima Street in Naha, an area bustling with unique shops.
The shop, located on the first floor of the building, is so small that you might easily miss it if it weren't for the sign outside.
If you follow the path in the direction of the arrow for a short distance, you will reach the entrance.
I can't believe there's an accessory shop in a place like this.
The neon sign of hibiscus and palm trees on the door is a popular photo spot.
It gets you excited even before you enter the store.
The interior is just as cute as you'd expect! Every corner is picture-perfect.
The shop is filled with a wide variety of items, including handmade goods and accessories made with firefly stones, which are characteristic of Okinawa.

We also have other items besides accessories, such as clothing and colorful Yachimun pottery mugs.
These are all lovely items that would be perfect for the beach, but also great for everyday use.
The product lineup varies from time to time, but you're sure to find something you love!
According to the owner, the key point in selecting items is to "have an Okinawan feel while also being in line with current trends."
If you're looking for a unique souvenir, or a gift for someone special, this is perfect.

2. I tried making the most popular bracelet!
You can make four types of accessories: earrings, bracelets, and anklets.
The experience takes place in a sofa area at the back of the store, which can seat about four people in total.
While walk-ins are generally welcome, it's best to make a reservation in advance.
This time, I chose the bracelet, which is said to be the most popular item.
Choose your favorite design by referring to the samples in the store.

As an indecisive person, I found all the designs appealing, but I finally decided on the one in the bottom left, which had the most beachy feel.
Once you've decided on your design, simply thread your favorite stones onto the wire!
On the desk are 30 different kinds of natural stones and coral from Okinawa Prefecture.

Place the stones you want to use in a small seashell dish and arrange them alternately.
If you only use stones, it can look dull, so adding gold accents will make it more stylish.

Since they are all natural, the fact that each one is a different color and size is what makes them so interesting.
The work itself was simple, but I spent quite a lot of time choosing the stones (lol).
Once you've threaded all the beads, choose a charm from the ones available in the store.
I chose seashells because I wanted to give it a beachy feel, but initials and flamingos were also cute.

Once you've made your selection, the staff will attach it for you with pliers, and that's it.
I think it's pretty good for a first attempt, don't you?
The light blue natural stone and charm go well together! Above all, the pink coral makes a great accent.
The time taken so far is approximately one and a half hours.
On average, most people spend between 30 minutes and an hour designing, but there's basically no time limit, so feel free to think about your design at your own pace!
The price of the experience varies depending on the amount of beads used as the base. There are three types of materials: natural stone, turquoise, and coral.
The price is 2,700 yen for bracelets mainly made of natural stones, 3,240 yen for turquoise, and 3,780 yen for coral. My bracelet cost 2,700 yen.
Apparently, using other materials just for accents will cost the same, but if you're concerned, I recommend consulting with a staff member before making it!
3. Conclusion - Basic Information -
Making accessories isn't something I do very often.
However, when I actually tried it, I became much more engrossed than I expected.
It's perfect not only for yourself, but also as a souvenir or a small gift.
What's most appealing is being able to create a truly original piece that's unlike anything anyone else has made.
It's easily accessible from Kokusai Street, and the fact that it's not affected by the weather is a big plus.
If you're ever in Naha, why not stop by and check it out?
