Miyako Shock

Located in the Nishizato area, the bustling downtown of Miyako Island, "Miyako Shoku" is easily recognizable by its bright blue containers.
There are eight restaurants operating on the premises. With a wide variety of options including Okinawan cuisine, yakitori, seafood, dim sum, and ice cream, we recommend trying them all!
Since it's open until 27:00 (3:2 AM), it's perfect for a second or third stop of the night.

Seating is available both inside the individual shops (containers) and in the open air, allowing you to enjoy your meal while experiencing a festive atmosphere.

Miyako Yokocho (Miyako Alley)

There's also a food stall village in the semi-outdoor space on the first floor of Hotel Art Avenue Miyakojima in the Nishizato district. The heart-shaped entrance, which serves as a landmark, is also a popular photo spot.
While there are Korean and Thai restaurants, many of the establishments mainly serve Okinawan cuisine, making them highly recommended for tourists visiting Miyako Island.
Like a food court, the shops surround the dining area, making it easy to try out different places. There's also a stamp rally at Miyako Yokocho where you get one stamp for every 1,000 yen spent, so you might as well try to visit all seven shops!

Ryukyu no Kaze Paikaji Yatai Village

Located within the Shigira Seven Miles Resort, this popular spot is extremely crowded before and after the live performances of Eisa dance, sanshin (Okinawan stringed instrument), and Okinawan folk songs, which are held every night from 19:30 PM to 20:15 PM and are free to watch.
The dinner menu features à la carte dishes centered around Okinawan cuisine, and a unique feature is that barbecue is also available.
During lunchtime, the restaurant serves a menu centered around Miyako soba noodles. It is open to guests who are not staying at Shigira Seven Miles Resort, and although it is a bit far from the city center, it is conveniently located for those visiting Shigira Beach, where you can see sea turtles, or Imgya Marine Garden.
