The Ryukyu Kaien Festival, held in April when the beach season opens in Okinawa Prefecture, is themed as "Japan's earliest summer fireworks display." It was a major event that attracted more than 1 visitors to see the spectacular show in which 2 fireworks were launched in time with music, but due to the impact of the coronavirus, the event was held at a different time and on a different scale in 2020 and 2021.

▲Press conference announcing the event: Okinawan band Kiiyama Shoten appointed as cheerleading captain▲
In 2022, they're making a comeback to their home base in Ginowan! The event is scheduled for Sunday, July 3rd.
With many events, including the Ryukyu Kaien Festival, entrance ceremonies, and graduation ceremonies, having to be canceled or scaled down, it is very gratifying to see things returning to how they were before the pandemic.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of Okinawa's return to Japan.
Let us launch magnificent fireworks into the night sky, imbued with wishes for peace, recovery, and hope for the future.

Ryukyu Kaiensai 2022 Crowdfunding

The Ryukyu Kaien Festival has finally decided to return to its home venue, but it is also true that it is facing difficulties due to the decrease in foreign tourists caused by entry restrictions and the fact that it has not been able to gather as many sponsoring companies as it had before the pandemic.
Therefore, we have set up a crowdfunding campaign with the Ryukyu Kaiensai Festival admission tickets and other items as rewards (https://camp-fire.jp/projects/view/586921We have started this.
You can support the Ryukyu Kaiensai crowdfunding campaign starting from 3,000 yen, and there's a wide variety of rewards, from simple ones with just admission tickets and original goods, to those that include parking passes, photographer's seats, and even the right to launch fireworks! If you're interested, check out the crowdfunding details.
Avoid crowds! A tour to enjoy the Ryukyu Sea Fire Festival from the sea.
In recent years, a lesser-known but increasingly popular way to enjoy the Ryukyu Sea Fire Festival is to take a cruiser tour to watch the festival.
There's no traffic congestion on the way to the venue, and no crowds during the viewing, allowing you to enjoy the fireworks at your leisure. You can also enjoy the sunset on your way to your viewing spot.
July 3rd is a time when we can expect the rainy season to end. Let's start the summer off right with a spectacular fireworks display!
