1. POST POST is marked by a pink mailbox.

POST POST is located on the first floor of Depot Island in American Village, Chatan.
Depot Island is easy to find if you look for the sign for "Steakhouse 88 Chatan" on the second floor.

POST POST is located down an alley, but there's a sign and the shop is filled with pastel colors, so I'm sure you won't miss it once you get close.

2. Sending a letter ♪

Even if you hear the phrase "sending a letter to the future," it might be difficult to visualize.
The fee will be the sum of the postcard cost, storage fee, and postage.
We will explain the process of sending a letter in detail.

Choose a postcard

First, choose your favorite postcard.
POST POST offers a wide variety of postcards on various themes, including Okinawan scenery, Okinawan culture, gratitude, and celebrations. You can choose and purchase postcards that match the message you want to convey and your personal preferences.

The staff are friendly and will give you advice on which cards are popular and which ones to choose.
Postcards start at a reasonable price of 100 yen, so you might want to send them to lots of people!
They would make great souvenirs, wouldn't they?

Determine the storage period.

Once you've chosen your postcards, you'll decide on a storage period of up to 10 years.
The fee varies depending on the storage period: 200 yen per year for less than 6 years, and 100 yen per year for 6 to 10 years.

Storage period 5 years → Storage fee 1,000 yen
Storage period 7 years → Storage fee 700 yen
Storage period 10 years → Storage fee 1,000 yen

Payment

Once you've chosen your postcard and storage period, you'll pay for the postcard, storage period, and postage.

Write a message

After you've finished paying, you can write your message in the designated space inside the store.
If it's a memento of a trip to Okinawa, people often send it on the same day a few years later; if it's for a couple, they send it on an anniversary; and if it's for a family with children, they send it on the child's birthday.

After writing your message, the final step is to mail it.
We can ship both domestically and internationally.
Depending on the region, you may need to subtract the delivery time based on the distance from the desired delivery date, so please be aware of this.
Stores usually provide guidelines such as 1 day for travel within Okinawa Prefecture, 2 days for other prefectures and remote islands, 5 days for Taiwan, and 7-11 days for the United States, so please use this as a reference.

3. Cute and pop-style souvenirs

POST POST offers not only postcards and a time capsule service, but also a variety of goods for sale, such as posters of famous Okinawan landmarks, tote bags, and small envelopes.
