1. What is Mikasa Shokudo's popular Okinawan "Champon"?

In Okinawa, "chanpon" doesn't refer to noodles like Nagasaki chanpon, but rather to a bowl of rice topped with stir-fried ingredients.

In particular, Mikasa's champon has lots of finely chopped onions in it, and the sweet and spicy egg makes it even better than I can describe! Seeing is believing! Take a look at the photos!

2. What kind of restaurant is Mikasa Shokudo?

My love for champon is so strong that I ended up recommending it before even introducing the restaurant. (~_~;)
Once again, this time I went to Mikasa Shokudo, located along Route 58!
The store is located on a street level facing Route 58.

There is a sign with menu samples in front of the store.
There are so many items on the menu, it's hard to choose! With so many options, I'd want to come back again and again!

Upon entering the restaurant, you'll find an open kitchen with counter seating where the food is prepared right in front of you!

It's not like those trendy shops in Tokyo. It has a homey feel. (laughs)
In the back, there are 10 to 12 tables seating four people each, making it a larger restaurant than you might expect.

Water is self-service, so please fill your own bottle at the water station near the entrance!
