New building opened in June 2016! A review of my stay at COMMUNITY&SPA Naha Central Hotel.

Naha Central Hotel

Located in the heart of Naha City, near Kokusai Street, the Naha Central Hotel is popular with both tourists and locals alike, thanks to its rare hot springs in Okinawa.

In June 2016, the new main tower opened, and the hotel was reborn as "COMMUNITY & SPA Naha Central Hotel."

You're probably curious about what the hotel looks like now that everything, from the guest rooms to the restaurants, has been completely renovated, right?

This time, I actually stayed there and will report on my experience!
We've also compiled a list of nearby tourist attractions, so please use it as a reference for how to spend your time in Naha!

1. COMMUNITY & SPA Naha Central Hotel has been reborn!

First, let me briefly explain how the Naha Central Hotel has changed!

1-1. The name and logo have changed!

This hotel was built in 1974.
With this renewal, the name has changed as follows!

Hotel name: COMMUNITY & SPA Naha Central Hotel
Building name: New building ⇒ MAIN TOWER
Existing building ⇒ EAST TOWER
Hot spring building ⇒ SPA ANNEX

Naha Central Hotel logo imageAdditionally, the logo has been redesigned, incorporating motifs of the letter "C," the Okinawan concept of "Ketsu" (結), and the Ryukyu colors.

1-3. The birth of the new guest rooms!

Six different room types and 94 rooms in total are now available!

naha-central-hotel-chart

From twin rooms to suites, we offer a wide variety of rooms to suit your needs.
With its modern and tranquil atmosphere, it's the perfect place to unwind after a long day of sightseeing.

The Comfort type rooms come with a kitchen, making them perfect for long-term stays!
One of its most distinctive features is the availability of a "suite room," which is quite rare in Naha City.

1-4. Launch of a new service!

In addition to the guest rooms, the facilities have been further enhanced with the addition of a new cafe, laundry facilities, and a milking room!
This time, we'll introduce some of them!

■ Chimudon Café "Kinushicha~"

Naha Central Hotel image

A newly opened cafe located on the first floor of the Main Tower.
Based on the theme of "local production for local consumption," they sell light meals made with locally sourced ingredients, such as yogurt and gelato made with goat's milk.
For breakfast, you can enjoy the "Chura Kajiri Buffet," where you can savor Okinawan ingredients to your heart's content.

Naha Central Hotel image

The concept is to create a cozy atmosphere like a coffee shop, making you want to stay for a long time.

I'll give you a more detailed look at breakfast later!

smoking area

Chidomun Cafe - Outside View

If you step outside from "Kiinu Shicha~" which I just introduced, you'll see a lovely garden.
If you exit the door and turn left, you will find a smoking area.
(In the guest room)All rooms are non-smokingSo please be careful!

■ Laundry

You can use the coin laundry after getting a key from the front desk.
Therefore, it seems that it's very rare for them to be left lying around.
It's great that there are five washing machines and five dryers – that's a generous number!

【basic information】
Opening hours: Available 24 hours
Usage fee: 500 yen for up to 90 minutes (500 yen for every additional 60 minutes thereafter)

■ Milking room

If you go further into "Kiinu Shicha," you'll find a milking room with a natural atmosphere.

Naha Central Hotel Milking Room

The spacious area makes it easy for moms to work too!

Naha Central Hotel Milking Room 2

Since there are two, the waiting time will be shortened.

Naha Central Hotel Milking Room 3

On the wall were cute animal-shaped clocks.

Naha Central Hotel Milking Room 4

A machine for washing baby bottles, and even a makeshift sink!
Being able to prepare the milk and handle all the other tasks in one place is incredibly convenient.

2. We actually stayed there! ~Partial Hollywood Twin Room Edition~

Naha Central Hotel Guest Room Bed

The room I stayed in this time was a "Partial Hollywood Twin" type room.
I've put together a summary of what the actual rooms look like and how to make the most of your stay at the hotel.

2-1. Room details and facilities

Naha Central Hotel

From the lobby, take the elevator up to the 5th floor and head to your room.
The main tower, newly constructed in June, exudes a modern atmosphere!

Naha Central Hotel Hanger

As soon as I entered the room, I spotted a hanger.
Apparently, this is a method to make a space appear larger.
It's nice that there are six of them, which is a bit more than usual!

Naha Central Hotel Partial Hollywood Twin

Next, we'll introduce a twin-bedded room that can accommodate up to four people.
Simmons mattresses are soft and comfortable – perfect for sleeping!
Having such a large space all to myself is such a luxury...

Naha Central Hotel Reading Light

This unit is equipped with a reading light, charger, alarm, and other features.
It's convenient that the charger and bed are located close together!
The reading lamp has a stylish design, too.

Naha Central Hotel Chair

The small desk is next to the bed.
I used it as a place to put my belongings, but you can also use it when you want to do a little work.

Naha Central Hotel washbasin

The washbasin is over here.
Despite its compact design, there's ample space to place pouches and other items.
There's also space underneath to hang towels, making it incredibly practical!

Naha Central Hotel restrooms

This is the restroom.
This is the latest model with a bidet function.
It was very clean and comfortable to use!

Naha Central Hotel shower room changing room

Next, let me introduce the shower room.
Having a separate changing room before the shower room is a big plus.
It was spacious, so even when I spread out my belongings, it didn't feel cramped.

Naha Central Hotel Shower Room

This is what it looks like inside!
Personally, I really liked that I could place things on top of the shampoo basin.

Naha Central Hotel Rain Shower

Believe it or not, COMMUNITY&SPA Naha Central Hotel has rain showers in its rooms!
*Comfort type rooms are excluded.

Rain showers are said to have a relaxing effect.
I actually tried it, and the moderate water pressure felt great; even a shower completely relieved my fatigue!

*This room does not have a bathtub.

2-2. Amenities

After showing you around the room, let me introduce the amenities!

Naha Central Hotel Amenities

The amenities provided on the bathroom counter are as follows:
・Cotton swab
·brush
・Shaving
·toothbrush
・Body towel
Since all the basic necessities are provided, you don't need to bring any extra luggage.

Naha Central Hotel Shampoo and other toiletries

These shampoos, conditioners, and body washes are all from the famous brand 'MIKIMOTO'.
When you use it, a subtle floral scent wafts through the air.

This was my first time using MIKIMOTO shampoo, but my hair was still silky smooth the day after I used it!
Despite the rain and high humidity outside, my hair remained moisturized.

2-3. Breakfast | Chimudon Café "Kinushicha~"

Chimudon Cafe exterior

I had it at the restaurant "Kinushicha" located in this new building!

Breakfast is a Western-style buffet featuring plenty of ingredients from Okinawa Prefecture.
Apparently, it's especially popular with women because you can enjoy delicious vegetables and fruits there.

Naha Central Hotel Breakfast Voucher

When you show this breakfast voucher at the entrance, a staff member will immediately guide you to an available seat.
(You can choose between counter seating or table seating.)

In addition to this, there are other breakfast venues.
There is also Naha Umai-dokoro "Kunenbo-tei" (EAST TOWER, Japanese and Western buffet), and you can choose either one.

Naha Central Hotel image

The author was staying in the new building, and also wanted to try the stylish breakfast!
This time, I chose the Western-style buffet.

Breakfast scene at Naha Central Hotel

Breakfast is a buffet style, where you can choose whatever you like.
The natural wood-grain look is great!

Eggs & Bacon

The first thing I saw was scrambled eggs and bacon.
The runny eggs and thick slices of bacon...it looks delicious just from the appearance.

Bacon

This bacon is apparently especially popular for breakfast.
Made with pork from Okinawa Prefecture, you can enjoy the delicious flavor of the meat.
*Apparently, sausages and bacon will be featured on a day trip, alternating between the two.

Tamako & Chicken

Next up is egg salad and special chicken.
The egg salad looked so cute! (And it tasted delicious too!)
Chicken tastes even better when eaten with vegetables.

salad bar

A wide variety of fresh vegetables from Okinawa Prefecture are lined up.
The "sticky barley" next to it looks like it would be delicious in soup!
It's wonderful to be able to eat fresh vegetables first thing in the morning.

Naha Central Hotel Bread

Naha Central Hotel Bread

The selection includes sliced bread, croissants, rolls, focaccia, and more.
I thought the bite-sized portions made them "easy to eat" from a woman's perspective.

Naha Central Hotel Jam

The jams come in three varieties: "Tankan orange," "Shikuwasa citrus," and "Pineapple."
The colors are so vibrant, and the packaging is very Okinawan, isn't it!
"I wonder what they taste like..." I thought, and decided to try all the varieties.

minestrone

Today's soup is a hearty minestrone.
Bacon, carrots, green peas, and more – this dish is packed with nutrients!

Minestrone contents

This is what it looks like inside. The colors are really beautiful, aren't they?

Goat yogurt

For breakfast, you can also enjoy the goat yogurt that's usually sold at the cafe!
(I actually tried it, and it had absolutely no goaty smell; it was creamy and delicious. The shikwasa flavor paired perfectly with it. It's very Okinawan and I highly recommend it!)

fruits

In addition to yogurt, there are also fruits that are perfect for after a meal.
On this day, we had watermelon and pineapple.

Beverages

The drink corner features orange juice, milk, and even iced coffee.
I personally love that the coffee creamer spout is shaped like a heart.

Naha Central Hotel Breakfast

After much deliberation, this is the breakfast I chose!
I chose a balanced meal, starting with their special bacon, and including bread and salad. (Perhaps I piled my plate a little too high...)

Okinawa Jam

They were all really delicious, but my favorite was the jam!

• Tankan (orange)... It didn't have the bitterness of marmalade and was very easy to eat. I think even people who don't like marmalade would enjoy it.
・Shikuwasa (yellow-green)... The refreshing tartness is excellent. It's not too sweet, so even if you put a lot on, it's not cloying.
• Pineapple (pale yellow)... It was a little on the sweet side and had plenty of pulp. It had a mild flavor.

It was so delicious that I would have bought it for myself if it were for sale.

Naha Central Hotel Terrace

After breakfast, we also went out to the terrace.
On sunny days, many people apparently eat breakfast outside. (It was cloudy, then rainy on this particular day.)

It's rare to find a hotel in Naha City that offers such a chance to experience nature.
I felt refreshed after breakfast!

2-4. Front Desk & Shop

front

The front of the building has a natural feel, based on white and brown tones.
The staff greet you with a smile in a spacious and inviting environment.

Front desk, souvenir shop

This hotel also offers Harley-Davidson motorcycle rentals! (Operated by BLUE SKY)
It seems to be popular with people who want to ride a famous brand motorcycle that's hard to get their hands on, and also with people who love touring.
Why not have a unique experience in Okinawa, where you can enjoy touring all year round? ^^

Front desk, souvenir shop

This is the shop "Wave".
A wide variety of Okinawan alcoholic beverages, candles, and other items are lined up.
We also sell amenities and loungewear that are actually used in the hotel.

Front desk, souvenir shop

" Vitamin Candle ," a lantern candle that originated in Chatan, Okinawa ,

Front desk, souvenir shop

A carefully selected variety of Okinawan alcoholic beverages are available.
Among them, the "Habu Sake" (snake wine), which costs over 2 yen, is apparently a hidden gem and a popular item!

<Bonus Episode> There's even a hot spring inside the hotel! ~Natural Hot Spring "Rikkarikka Yu"~

Rikkarikka Hot Spring

Our hotel has a hot spring, which is rare in Naha city!
They use natural hot spring water, and apparently you can enjoy two different types of hot springs on alternating days.
The hotel attracts many visitors, including locals.

[Natural Hot Spring "Rikkarikka Yu"]

Hot springs and sauna: 6:00 AM to 24:00 AM (last entry 23:30 PM)
