Try a new kind of fish burger at Eightman's Seaburg.

Eightman's Seaburg Original Fish Burger (Top Image)Umikaji Terrace is located on Senaga Island, near Naha Airport.

Among the many restaurants and shops lining the waterfront, this time we're highlighting "Eightman's Seaburg."

In Okinawa, where American culture remains strong, hamburger culture is well-established, but the signature dish here is the "fish burger."

Enjoy the sunset on the terrace while savoring a juicy fish burger made with fish from Okinawa Prefecture!

1. The terrace is the best seat in the house! Eightman's Seaburg

Eightman's Seaburg exteriorUmikaji Terrace is a resort located close to Naha Airport.

"Eightman's Seaburg," which opened to coincide with the new store's opening, is a specialty shop for "fish burgers," a rarity in Okinawa.

Okinawa has plenty of gourmet burger restaurants, but despite being an island surrounded by the sea, there were no fish burgers until now.

Actually, "Eightman's Seaburg" is a sister restaurant to "Itoman Fisherman's Diner," a popular restaurant in Itoman City.

The shop is run by someone whose family runs a fresh fish wholesale business, so you can be assured of their dedication to quality fish.

This is the cash register counter, and the kitchen is at the back. There are also counter seats for eating in on the right side.

Eightman's Seaburg Terrace SeatingEnjoy an early dinner in the evening while leisurely savoring the breathtaking view as the sun sets. This luxurious and quintessentially Okinawan way of spending time is highly recommended.

If you order a meal at this restaurant, you are allowed to bring in drinks and desserts from other restaurants.

Even if you and the person you're spending time with want different foods, there's no need to argue.

2. Fish burger made with Okinawan fish

Eightman's Seaburg Original Fish BurgerThe signature dish, the "Original Fish Burger," features an original patty made with swordfish, mahi-mahi, and squid from Okinawa, topped with shredded carrots.

By frying the mildly flavored fish until crispy, the juiciness is instantly enhanced! There are also large chunks of fish left, allowing you to enjoy a hearty texture.

Also, with the "Original Fish Burger," you can choose one sauce from either "Tomato Taru" or "Salsa."

The photo shows "Tomato Tartar," a dish with layers of tomato and tartar sauce.
If you want something with a bit of kick to go with your beer, try choosing salsa.

Eightman's Seaburg Cheese Tomato Fish BurgerThis is the "Cheese Tomato Fish Burger".
This burger uses the same patty as before, but is topped with rich cheddar cheese and island tomatoes for an even more substantial portion.

Just like the "Original Fish Burger," you can choose from two types of sauces.

The dilemma is whether to go for an even richer flavor with "Tomato Tartare" or a lighter taste with "Salsa."

Eightman's Seaburg MenuOther options include the "Tuna Tartare Avocado Burger" and the "Irabu Dried Bonito Cheese Burger," as well as soups and desserts.

3. Snacks to go with your beer.

Eightman's Seaburg Okinawa-style Fish & ChipsIf you're going to drink beer, the perfect snack to go with it is "Okinawan-style fish and chips."

This is a fish and chips-style adaptation of "fish tempura," a popular Okinawan snack food, and it's best enjoyed simply seasoned with salt.

Adding a squeeze of lemon would also be a great way to enhance the refreshing taste.

Between 17:00 and 20:30, they also offer the "Seaburg SUN Set," which includes a mini-sized Okinawan-style fish and chips and an alcoholic drink.

I ordered this set and enjoyed beer and snacks while waiting for the sunset, then ordered a fish burger for dinner once the sun went down.

How about spending a leisurely, relaxed evening like that?

4. Conclusion

Senaga Island is known for its beautiful sunsets.
Be sure to arrive early and enjoy watching the sun set and the sky change its appearance along with your meal.

Takeout is also available, so you can enjoy it while sitting on the breakwater along the coast, or use it for a lunch during a drive.

Instead of the hamburger that has become a staple of Okinawan cuisine, please enjoy the "fish burger" that you can only find here.
