Chinpindo, a long-established manufacturer known for its Chinsuko, a classic Okinawan souvenir, opened "KOJO CAFE," a factory-attached cafe, in December 2025. In a tranquil space within the warehouse, you can enjoy freshly baked sweets and a wide variety of drinks. 1. A long-established manufacturer that produces "Chinsuko," a popular Okinawan souvenir.

Chinpindo is a long-established manufacturer that produces and sells "chinsuko," a traditional Okinawan confection. Chinpindo's chinsuko can often be found in supermarkets and other stores, and their "Chinsuko that goes well with coffee" is a popular product made with a slightly bitter dough using freshly ground coffee beans and mixed with chocolate chips.

The factory cafe offers a wide variety of products, including "Chinsuko that pairs well with wine" (pictured left), which allows you to enjoy the rich flavor of cheese, and "Snack Chinsuko" (pictured right), which is spicy with coarsely ground black pepper and garlic. The availability of different sizes is also a plus, allowing you to choose according to your needs.

Furthermore, don't miss the "imperfect chinsuko" sold exclusively at the cafe. Because it's available at a great price, many locals visit specifically to purchase this limited-edition item. The packaging is also cute, making it a perfect souvenir.

2. I opened my dream "cafe inside a warehouse"!

Originally, it operated as an open-deck style cafe next to the factory, but in order to create a more relaxing space and expand the menu, a cafe was built inside the factory and reopened at the end of December 2025 as "KOJO CAFE".

The entrance to KOJO CAFE is marked by a large wooden door. It has a charming atmosphere that you wouldn't expect from a place attached to a factory.

The interior features concrete and brick-style walls paired with wooden tables, creating a space that feels warm despite its minimalist aesthetic. The availability of seating suitable for solo diners is another welcome feature.

The display case next to the register is filled with cakes and puddings. You can enjoy the time it takes to decide which one to choose.

Furthermore, freshly baked cookies and muffins were displayed next to the counter, filling the shop with a soft, sweet aroma.

KOJO CAFE menu

The drink menu offers a wide variety, from coffee made with charcoal-roasted beans from Yanbaru in northern Okinawa, to lattes, teas, and smoothies. The most popular item is the "Adult Brown Sugar Coffee Milk." Made with homemade brown sugar syrup and pure brown sugar from Okinawa Prefecture, this drink offers a well-balanced combination of the rich sweetness of brown sugar, the slight bitterness of coffee, and the creaminess of milk.

In addition to chiffon cakes and cheesecakes displayed in the showcase, the sweets selection also included luxurious plates and acai bowls that allowed you to enjoy a variety of desserts at once.

We sampled freshly made sweets and carefully crafted drinks!

The plain chiffon cake is especially popular in the display case and often sells out early. The accompanying whipped cream is not too sweet, complementing the gentle sweetness of the moist cake. It has a light and fluffy texture, making it easy to eat to the last bite.

Next, I ordered a vegetable smoothie made with five kinds of vegetables and fruits. It had a refreshing taste, perfect for a morning coffee break. The moderate sweetness made it easy to drink, and I appreciated that it was an easy way to get my vegetables in.

Furthermore, they also offered chunk cookies with marshmallows in a cocoa dough, along with coffee. The cookies had a moist texture and were satisfying, and the slight bitterness of the cocoa paired well with the gentle sweetness of the marshmallows. It was the perfect combination for when you want to relax.

The store also offers gifts perfect for souvenirs. Assortments of sweets, available at various price points, are highly recommended as presents.
