"BEB5 Okinawa Seragaki" is a condominium hotel by Hoshino Resorts that opened in Onna Village on July 1, 2022.

"BEB" is one of the hotel brands developed by Hoshino Resorts. Its basic theme is "a hotel that's more than a pub but less than a full-fledged trip, where everyone can relax and have fun," and it's a brand that caters to "outings that you can enjoy depending on your mood that day."

I was invited to the press conference the day before the grand opening and got to experience the concept of BEB5 Okinawa Seragaki, "Yonnaa Chu Life" ("Yonnaa" is an Okinawan dialect word meaning "leisurely"). When you stay at a hotel, you tend to think, "I have to enjoy it to the fullest or it's a waste!", but I got to enjoy the "simple luxury" of playing when you want to play and resting when you want to rest.

In this article, we'll share the charm of BEB5 Okinawa Seragaki through a hotel stay report!

1. TAMARIBA

The first thing that greets you at BEB5 Okinawa Seragaki is TAMARIBA on the first floor. It's a public space that's open 24 hours a day and can be used by anyone, with plenty of spots both indoors and outdoors where you can sit down and relax, such as chairs and steps.

Whether you want to have a relaxed chat with friends, or simply relax alone, or read one of the books provided or play a game, this comfortable space can be used however you like, depending on your mood that day.

By the way, you can also eat and drink at TAMARIBA. For example, you can take out alcohol and snacks from the cafe located on the first floor of TAMARIBA and bring them inside.

What's more, you're welcome to bring in not only takeout from the cafe, but also drinks and food purchased from convenience stores and supermarkets. It's a wonderful space that's not only comfortable but also incredibly convenient, so much so that you might find yourself reluctant to go back to your room.

2. All guest rooms are condominiums!

BEB5 Okinawa Seragaki offers condominium-style rooms, each equipped with a kitchen and laundry facilities. In addition to cups and plates, each room also includes cooking utensils such as frying pans and pots.

There are eight types of rooms, including suites and deluxe suites. This time I stayed in a suite, which was very spacious with a large dining table and sofa.
The suite we stayed in was 68 square meters (accommodates 4 people), but the deluxe suite is apparently 94 square meters (accommodates 5 people).

In stark contrast to the living room, the bedroom has a calm and tranquil atmosphere. The deep blue floor and light blue ceiling and walls create a space reminiscent of the Okinawan sea.

The bed is a unique, legless type, which is refreshing. Combined with the fact that it's elevated from the living room, it feels like a secret hideout, which really sparks the imagination.

The bathroom is incredibly practical, with a large mirror and two sinks. The warm, indirect lighting adds to the atmosphere, making it the ideal bathroom where you can't help but fantasize about getting ready in the morning.

The bathroom has a simple design, with a white color scheme that gives it a clean and refreshing feel. This room offers the convenience of a condominium while also providing a sense of escape from the everyday, making it the perfect base for sightseeing and leisure activities.

While maintaining the high functionality of all the rooms, there's also a unique room available—the "Goya Room"—which is probably the first of its kind in the world. This room, themed around "goya," a representative Okinawan ingredient, is filled with goya from floor to ceiling. It's a room where you can thoroughly enjoy something out of the ordinary.

3. BEB5 Okinawa Seragaki Cafe

At BEB5 Okinawa Seragaki, there is a cafe operating within TAMARIBA on the first floor. It features a spacious atmosphere with high ceilings and large windows that create a sense of openness.

What's truly amazing is that it's open 24 hours a day. Takeout is also available, so you can bring food into TAMARIBA or eat in your room, making it a cafe that can be used flexibly to suit your travel needs.

Cafes generally have different systems for "breakfast" and "lunch/dinner," so we will introduce them separately.

3-1. Breakfast

Breakfast (1,300 yen) is a simple system consisting of a choice of four main plates plus yogurt and a drink. The main plates can be chosen from Panino with prosciutto and salad, Panino with tropical fruit, BEB Pizza Ortolana, or a salad plate.

This time, I chose the recommended "Panino with Prosciutto Salad." When you take a big bite, the richness of the cheese, the saltiness of the prosciutto, the acidity of the tomato, and the crispness of the lettuce all spread in your mouth. The large slices of prosciutto are especially irresistible for prosciutto lovers!

Drinks are served via a self-service drink bar. The colorful drink bar, typical of Okinawa, is visually stunning, and the showy presentation, characteristic of Hoshino Resorts, really gets you excited.

3-2. Lunch and Dinner

Outside of breakfast hours, they offer eight types of BEB pizza and à la carte dishes perfect for a light snack or appetizer. While enjoying them individually is great, this time we decided to try the "BEB Pizza Set (¥2,800)," which includes a pizza and an à la carte dish.

You can choose from eight types of pizza, and I selected the "Ortolana." It's a luxurious dish that lets you savor the bounty of nature, with plenty of chunky vegetables. The homemade pizza dough is crispy and easy to eat, but the crust is fluffy and very satisfying.

Just as impressive as the main pizza is the "9-item à la carte platter" included in the set. It's a luxurious dish that lets you sample all the à la carte items offered at the cafe in one go.

The variety of flavors keeps you from getting bored, which is great. And of course, it pairs perfectly with alcohol. Before I knew it, I'd finished it all!

After enjoying the meal to your heart's content, let's have some dessert! Cool sweets like gelato and sweet potato mont blanc are perfect for finishing off the meal. We enjoyed everything from the main course to the dessert.

4. Pool

Just a minute or two from the main building is a pool where you can feel at one with the sky. The gazebos and deck chairs create an extraordinary atmosphere, giving off a true resort vibe.

This pool offers a variety of ways to enjoy yourself, from swimming to relaxing in a gazebo to napping on a deck chair. It's also worth checking out when it's lit up after sunset, showing a different side of itself. Near BEB5 Okinawa Seragaki, there are also beaches where you can enjoy the ocean in Onna Village, such as Manza Beach and Navi Beach.

Final thoughts

While the hotel boasts high functionality, modernity, and stylish design, the real charm of BEB5 Okinawa Seragaki lies in the "time you can spend freely with your cherished friends." It's a hotel where you can relax and fully enjoy doing whatever you want, "according to your mood at the time."
