From trendy cafes popular with women to upscale Okinawan cuisine you won't find anywhere else in Okinawa, we'll guide you to breathtaking lunch spots you can only find in Omoromachi. Whether you're a tourist or a local, this article will help you find a restaurant that will satisfy you!
Let's go enjoy some refined flavors that you can only find in Omoromachi, Okinawa's newest town, at affordable lunch prices!
1. Decker's Café
Decker's Café is a hidden gem located on a quiet side street in the heart of the new city. Its warm exterior welcomes you into the tranquil neighborhood. Inside, the indirect lighting and numerous American-style decorations create a relaxed atmosphere.
With many female staff members, it's a comfortable place for women to go together and relax. It's a hidden gem popular with women, so you might find yourself becoming a regular after your first visit!
The shop has a selection of children's picture books and magazines, so it's perfect for families or solo diners. It's also bustling with a warm atmosphere during lunchtime on weekends.
Fluffy egg omelet rice
Decker's Café's recommendation is their omurice, which is so delicious you can't help but smile when you take a bite.
There are three variations, and they're all delicious, so please choose the one that suits your preference.
The lunch menu includes self-service salads and soups, all you can eat.

2. Toritatsu

Located in a fiercely competitive area lined with restaurants, Toritatsu also operates as an izakaya (Japanese-style pub) at night.
During lunchtime, they offer a variety of exquisite set meals and ramen dishes that are only available at lunchtime. Please note that they are only open for lunch on weekdays, so be sure to check their schedule.
The finest chicken nanban

We use Miyazaki Jidori chicken, and the taste is comparable to authentic Miyazaki chicken nanban. When you cut into the chicken, the glistening, juicy meat is sure to whet your appetite.
In Okinawa, chicken nanban is actually a very popular and well-known dish. Why not try some high-quality chicken nanban at Toritatsu, a dish you can't even find in Okinawa?
In the summer, they also serve chilled ramen, and the combination of the chewy noodles and the sweet and sour flavors of the chili peppers is absolutely exquisite, guaranteeing a sublime lunch experience!
Tuna marinated rice bowl is also a popular menu item!

3. The Bounty of the Earth
Located on the top floor of the Dai Hotel Waronet Hotel, adjacent to the Omoromachi New City Center Building, is Daichi no Megumi. Its prime location in Omoromachi and the breathtaking views from the top floor are truly impressive.
While I would certainly recommend going for dinner, the location at lunchtime, offering a panoramic view of the ocean in central and southern Okinawa, is simply amazing.
This is a wonderful restaurant that can be enjoyed in any situation, whether you're sightseeing, on a date, or with family.
Lunchtime buffet

They offer a wide variety of tofu dishes and creative cuisine! The sophisticated atmosphere makes it difficult to choose from the many menu options. They also have desserts like fondue and cakes, making it a great choice for women as well.

4. Buten
Standing proudly across from San-A Main Place is the Japanese soba dining restaurant Maiten. During lunchtime, it's bustling with office workers and female office workers who come to enjoy Japanese soba (*) and udon, which are hard to find in Okinawa.
(Note: In Okinawa, soba noodles are called "Okinawa soba" when they are local, and "Nihon soba" when they are from mainland Japan. There are very few "Nihon soba" restaurants in Okinawa.)
The restaurant's atmosphere features a counter and tatami seating areas close together, with the counter area resembling a sophisticated Japanese bar. A single aisle separates the tatami seating areas, creating a cozy and relaxing space despite the limited area.
Medicinal soba noodles to nourish both body and mind
I recommend the medicinal herb soba, "Ryukyu Baratoro Soba".
This medicinal soba, generously made with ginger and grated yam, is easy to digest, yet so delicious you'll want to drink every last drop of the soup.
What's more, even after eating that much, I still get hungry by evening, which is strange. I can recommend it to salarymen with hangovers and women who are conscious of their calorie intake.
A full stomach of tempura rice bowl
For those who want to eat their fill, we recommend the "Shrimp Tempura Rice Bowl."
This generously portioned shrimp tempura, featuring three large, plump shrimp, dipped in sweet sauce, will create an unforgettable and luxurious dining experience. It's a popular menu item, so be sure to try it when you visit!
Ryukyu Baratoro Soba: 980 yen (excluding tax)

5. Tianda
Lastly, we have a popular Okinawan soba restaurant. The Okinawan soba restaurant with the longest lines in Shintoshin is "Tianda".
"Tianda" is an Okinawan dialect word meaning "oil from the hands." This name, "Tianda," embodies the idea of putting in time and effort, as in "putting in the salt and salt," and it is where you can enjoy heartwarming Okinawan soba noodles that are unique to Okinawa.
However, it can get crowded at lunchtime, so when you're sightseeing, remember to follow the "Okinawan time" and wait your turn politely!

Slowly simmered pork ribs
With its light broth and distinctive thick noodles, this Okinawan soba has a classic, orthodox flavor that screams "this is Okinawan soba!" And surprisingly, amidst the tourists, you'll also find a few locals enjoying it.
You'll be amazed by the tenderness of the pork ribs that come with it! Be sure to try it here.
