While Okinawan dishes like Soki Soba and Goya Champuru are well-known, one Okinawan delicacy that shouldn't be forgotten is steak. Okinawa, with its numerous U.S. military bases, boasts a wide variety of highly-rated steak restaurants.
This time, I'll introduce some of my top recommended steak houses!
These are all renowned restaurants that are frequently used not only by tourists, but also for various occasions such as after-work drinks or anniversary dinners.
Ordering high-quality meat will make your Okinawa trip even more luxurious.

Summary
1. Captains Inn

Captains Inn operates three locations on Okinawa Island: Higashi-machi, Naha, and Mihama.
The chef's spectacular cooking performance is a highlight of Captains. You're sure to be amazed by the aerial spinning of the garlic toast and the rapid slicing of the bell peppers.
They also offer all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink courses, and in addition to tenderloin steak, they have a wide selection of Okinawan dishes such as goya champuru and island tofu.
The restaurant's appeal lies in its generous use of carefully selected meats and spiny lobster, guaranteeing a satisfying meal. While there is a steak-only course, we recommend the steak and seafood menu, which incorporates both steak and seafood.
Although they use high-quality ingredients, the restaurant has a casual atmosphere, so there's no need to dress up.
The budget for the steak course varies considerably, from approximately 1,800 to 14,200 yen. All courses include a special soup, salad, goya champuru (bitter melon stir-fry), seasonal grilled vegetables from the prefecture, and toast or rice. The all-you-can-eat course for 5,400 yen per person is also popular.
2. Sam's Restaurant
The "Sam's Restaurant" group operates multiple restaurants on Okinawa Island, but each one has a different interior design and concept.
For those who want to enjoy a teppanyaki performance, try visiting one of the following restaurants: Sam's Arcane in Ginowan and Kokusai Street, Sam's Maui in Kumoji, or Sam's Sailor Inn on Kokusai Street.
For those who love charcoal-grilled food, I recommend "Sam's by the Sea," which has locations in Awase and Naha.
Sam's Cafe, located near Aeon Mall Okinawa Rycom in central Okinawa, has a casual atmosphere and is perfect for dinner.
Some restaurants are open for lunch, while others are only open for dinner, so be sure to check before you go.
Besides their high-quality meats, their live lobsters, shipped directly from America, are also highly acclaimed. Ordering different dishes to share with friends will make the experience even more enjoyable.
The budget for a set course meal is approximately 2,500 to 6,000 yen. The price varies depending on the size and grade of the steak. In addition to the steak, the meal includes appetizers, soup, salad, seasonal warm vegetables, and bread or rice, so you're sure to leave feeling full.
3. Steakhouse 88
Founded in 1955, "Club88" was reborn as "Steakhouse 88" in 1978 and has steadily increased its number of locations ever since. Currently, the group operates nine restaurants on Okinawa Island.
We always have nearly 20 different types of meat available, so you can order the meat of your choice. We have everything from American beef to carefully selected Japanese Wagyu beef.
When ordering a steak, the price range is quite wide: 1,500 to 2,500 yen for lunch and 2,000 to 5,000 yen for dinner.
The West Exit branch is the only one in the group to offer a raft bar and ice cream bar, making it perfect for family trips.
Steaks often have a reputation for being expensive, but at "88Jr" in Matsuyama, Naha City, you can order a set meal of 100g steak, soup, salad, and rice (or toast) starting from just 900 yen, making it a great deal! They are open from 11am to 16pm and from 6pm to 18am the next day, so why not stop by?
For those who prefer a relaxed atmosphere or want to create a romantic mood with their partner, we recommend "Steak Dining 88," which belongs to the same group.
