As mentioned at the beginning, a hotel breakfast buffet is one of the joys of traveling.
First, we'll introduce some popular hotel breakfast buffets in Naha city that you can use even if you're not staying at the hotel.

1-1. Hotel Rocoanaha

When it comes to breakfast in Okinawa, Hotel Rocore Naha is a name that needs no introduction. It consistently ranks high every year in TripAdvisor's popular "Hotels with Delicious Breakfasts" category (incidentally, it proudly came in 3rd place in the 2016 edition, and 1st place when limited to Okinawa Prefecture!).

Among the Japanese and Western dishes, including Okinawan cuisine, you'll find yourself instantly captivated by the vivid colors of dishes such as purple sweet potato salad and squid ink yakisoba.
A popular menu item is the sweet potato salad with a hint of blueberry flavor.

This buffet offers a wide variety of options, from an Okinawan-style rice bowl corner where you can create your own donburi (rice bowl dish) by topping it with your favorite side dishes, to yogurt with eight different toppings to choose from, making it both delicious and fun.

1-2. Hyatt Regency Naha Okinawa

Opened in July 2015, the Hyatt Regency Naha Okinawa is a city resort located on a hill about a three-minute walk up Sakurazaka Nakadori Street, next to Tenbusu Naha, from Kokusai Street. It's easy to spot as there aren't many tall buildings in the surrounding area.

This buffet is, quite simply, "gorgeous."
A luxurious breakfast like this, featuring special sausages, egg slut (a mixture of soft-boiled eggs and mashed potatoes served on bread), pot-au-feu made with Okinawan vegetables, smoothies, detox water, and a wide variety of cheeses, is something you can only enjoy while traveling!

If you're on vacation in tropical Okinawa, you'll want to enjoy the luxurious atmosphere of a resort hotel.
Even if you can't eat a lot, this buffet is a must-try for a girls' trip, offering plenty to see and leaving you feeling completely satisfied!

2. A must-try breakfast spot in Naha

Since you're in Okinawa, why not try a special breakfast experience?

2-1. Okinawa Daiichi Hotel

Okinawa Daiichi Hotel is located on the right side of Ichigin Street, about a minute's walk down from the Matsuo intersection towards the Kumoji River, roughly in the middle of Kokusai Street.
Although it's a small inn with only five guest rooms, the clean building and red tiled roof are eye-catching.

Okinawa Daiichi Hotel's signature breakfast is Okinawan medicinal cuisine and is by reservation only. There are three sittings a day at 8:00, 9:00, and 10:00, with a maximum of three groups per sitting and a complete turnover of customers.

Using over 50 kinds of seasonal ingredients, the breakfast menu, including drinks, features approximately 20 dishes, allowing you to enjoy the natural flavors of the ingredients and the food culture of Okinawa. Despite having over 20 dishes, the total calorie count for breakfast is less than 600 calories! The dishes are seasoned with minimal ingredients such as broth and salt.

Okinawa Daiichi Hotel

2-2. Nifera *Currently closed

Tucked away in the back of Tsuboya Yachimun Street, lined with charming pottery shops, is the café "Nifera," which is only open for two and a half hours in the morning.

This cafe primarily serves vegan cuisine, using absolutely no animal products, including eggs, in addition to meat. To be honest, when you hear that they don't use eggs or meat, you might feel like something's missing, even for breakfast.

But don't worry! If you eat a hearty plate (Okinawa Big Vegan Breakfast) filled with acai bowls overflowing with fruit, salads and pasta made with Okinawan vegetables, the power of plants will fill every corner of your body.

I'd love to spend a healthy morning soaking up the sun on a photogenic terrace.

3. A quick breakfast in Naha

Morning time is so precious! So, we've gathered a list of restaurants where you can eat without feeling pressured or stressed!

3-1. Witch's Sandwich

Witch's Sandwich offers a variety of hearty sandwiches, primarily Cuban sandwiches.
The interior of the shop is a stylish space with a concrete and wood base, where vibrant blue and pink accents stand out!

For breakfast, you can order from the entire menu, including sandwiches available only in the morning, and there are great value set options such as adding coffee for an extra 100 yen.

Most sandwiches are available in S, M, and L sizes, and even the S size is enough to fill up a woman. The fact that many items are reasonably priced at around 500 yen is another great point.

The location is along Tsuboya Himeyuri Street, a little closer to Asato than the intersection with Tsuboya Yachimun Street.
There are also two parking spaces behind the store, making it a convenient location to stop by on your way from downtown Naha to Naha Airport.

Witch's Sandwich

3-2. Ichigin Shokudo

This is a 24-hour diner in town. The menu boasts an enormous number of options, from single dishes to light and heavy set meals. From Okinawan soba, steak, champon, and nakami-jiru (offal soup) to classic set meals and casual, affordable options, it's difficult to grasp the entire menu at first. I found myself frozen in place in front of the ticket vending machine.

Nevertheless, the friendly staff and unpretentious atmosphere make it an oasis for those who are uncomfortable going to new places.

Access: From Yui Rail Miebashi Station, head towards the Prefectural Office along the Kumoji River. Turn towards National Route 58 at the Kumoji Bridge intersection where it intersects with Ichigin Street, and you'll find it right away.

3-3. Po-Tama Makishi Market Store

Walking for about 3 minutes through the arcade from the Mutsumibashi intersection on Kokusai Street (near Don Quijote) towards the public market, and turning right at the first side street, you'll find Naha's breakfast hotspot, lined with restaurants like Portama Makishi Market and C&C Breakfast.

At Pork Tamago Onigiri Main Store, you can enjoy a wide variety of "onigirazu" (sandwich-style rice balls made with seaweed and white rice).

You can enjoy a wide variety of options, from basic pork and egg buns (330 yen), oil miso buns (380 yen), pickled plums, pickled mustard greens, and mentaiko (380 yen each), to more unusual options like deep-fried island tofu and taco meat buns (480 yen each).

Across from the main branch of Pork Tamago Onigiri is C&C BREAKFAST, a popular spot among women. Based on the concept of "delicious breakfast to enjoy while traveling," you can enjoy stylish breakfasts such as pancakes and eggs Benedict.

Soufflé pancakes and regular pancakes are ¥800 each, or ¥1400 each with plenty of fruit toppings. They also offer sandwiches (¥850 each), omelets, eggs Benedict (¥1,000 each), and more. It looks like you can really enjoy a special, out-of-the-ordinary experience!
