If you're going to Kouri Island, which boasts what's considered the best ocean on Okinawa Island, you'll want to enjoy the best views from a cafe there too!
In perpetually sunny Okinawa, taking a break at a cafe while gazing at the ocean is an important part of any trip.
This article will introduce all four cafes on Kouri Island, including their views and some of their menu items.

1. Cafe Touraku
2. Kouri Island Cafe
3. Beach House Café & Restaurant YOSHIKA
4. Village Teahouse
A. Cafe Touraku

A cafe located on a hill on Kouri Island.
The restaurant's design is predominantly white, befitting its tropical location, and because it's situated on a hill, the terrace seating offers views of islands such as Iejima and Kourijima floating in the emerald blue sea.
We are particular about our tableware as well; everything used in the cafe is made in the adjacent workshop.
Why not let yourself be soothed by the tranquil scenery and surrender to the leisurely pace of time?
Recommended menu items: Sea urchin rice bowl set... 2,000 yen Daily special set... 1,200 yen

B. Kouri Island Cafe

Just after crossing the Kouri Bridge, you'll be warmly welcomed at Kouri Island Cafe, right at the gateway to the island.
Why not spend some relaxing time enjoying the ocean breeze, just a 30-second walk from the beach?
Located right by the sea, they also offer marine sports and other activities, so if you're interested in snorkeling or other marine sports, why not inquire?
The must-try item at this cafe on Kouri Island is AAA-grade Agu pork. Have you ever tasted pork that melts in your mouth?!
Recommended menu items: Kouri Island Donburi (premium) ... 1,500 yen; AAA Agu pork shabu-shabu ... 2,700 yen

C. Beach House Café & Restaurant YOSHIKA

'YOSHIKA,' a beach house, stands at the entrance to Kouri Island.
It's no exaggeration to say that they've played a vital role in supporting tourism on Kouri Island, operating sightseeing boats and, in the past, distributing free tourist maps.
The observation restaurant on the second floor, offering a panoramic view of Kouri Bridge, is 100% handmade, creating a tranquil space with the warmth of wood and beautiful seashells.
The extensive menu, ranging from Agu pork and seafood to Okinawan cuisine and even desserts, is a welcome feature.
Recommended menu items: YOSHIKA's 4-color rice bowl... 1,650 yen, Premium soft serve ice cream... 310 yen, and more.

It's immediately to the right after crossing the Kouri Bridge and going straight. It's opposite the Fureai Plaza.

Business hours: 10: 00 ~ 20: 00
Closed days: Open all year round (※There may be days when we are closed due to events, etc.)

D. Village Teahouse

From Murano Chaya, located on a hill almost in the center of Kouri Island, you can enjoy a spectacular view that is different from that of the coast.
Because it is built on a hill, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the sea, including the Kouri Bridge, as the color of the ocean changes.
The meals, which use herbs and wild plants picked from the spacious garden and are made with a focus on natural ingredients, are certainly appealing, and I would definitely recommend trying the set meal, which includes carefully prepared side dishes.
Recommended menu items: Sea urchin rice bowl...market price; Agu pork set meal...1,300 yen
[Village Tea House]
Address: 1087 Kouri, Nakijin Village, Kunigami District, Okinawa Prefecture
