Ino Coffee is a coffee shop located in a corner of the Nago City Market.
It's a small shop that only offers takeout, but it fits perfectly into the atmosphere of the old-fashioned shopping street, and it's always bustling with customers whenever you go.
The secret to its popularity is that they carefully hand-drip each cup of coffee after receiving the order.
You can enjoy delicious coffee anytime.
Also, their cafe latte made with milk from Kiyuna Farm in Ogimi Village, and their brown sugar milk coffee (a cafe latte with Okinawan brown sugar added) are exquisite, so these are recommended for those who don't like black coffee.
All of the drinks pair perfectly with the complimentary Lotus biscuits.

Rokkan Coffee is a coffee shop located in Higawa, Naha City.
While there are no table seats, there are counter and bench-style seats available, so you can eat and drink inside the restaurant.
When you order coffee, it's carefully drip-brewed right in front of you at the counter seats and served with a piece of paper detailing the coffee beans' origins, making the coffee experience even more enjoyable.
The drinks menu includes lattes and lemonade, but I also recommend the espresso tonic, which is a bit different.
They also offer light snacks like bread, so you won't have any trouble finding something to go with your coffee.
They open quite early, at 6 AM, so it's a good option before work.

3. Coffee Specialty Shop: The Origin

"Genten," a coffee specialty shop in Okinawa City, is a long-established coffee shop that has been in business for over 30 years.
As the name "specialty shop" suggests, the menu consists only of iced coffee and hot coffee.
They don't offer any food, soft drinks, or even lattes; they only serve meticulously crafted coffee.
Both coffees are excellent, but I recommend the iced coffee, which is made by brewing cold brew coffee for 6 hours and then letting it rest for 3 days.

The coffee flavor is still very much present, yet it's incredibly smooth, making it instantly addictive.
Although it's topped with milk, the owner recommends not mixing it in and instead enjoying the change in flavor as the milk settles over time.
Takeout is available, but if you dine in, you'll also receive a complimentary banana cake (while supplies last).

4. Okinawa Cerrado Coffee

Okinawa Cerrado Coffee is located in Minatogawa Stateside Town, a trendy residential area in Urasoe City lined with stylish shops catering to foreigners.
The beans used are a higher-grade coffee bean known as specialty coffee.
This requires that the coffee meets four criteria: "clear production area and processing method," "flavor characteristics derived from the production area," "clear and beautiful taste," and "excellent characteristics of the coffee when tasted."
The menu only consists of coffee, but they have a wide variety of beans.
It can be hard to decide which one to choose, but you can also do a tasting in the store, so if you're interested, please feel free to ask a staff member.
Although it's primarily a takeout shop, there are benches outside where you can relax while you eat.

5. Hiro Coffee Farm

Hiro Coffee Farm is located deep in the mountains of Yanbaru, in Takae, Higashimura.
Although it's about an hour's drive from the Kyoda Interchange, this shop is popular with coffee lovers both from within and outside the prefecture.
The restaurant isn't large, but it has an open terrace seating area, making it feel spacious.
The pastel pink container and counter give it the feel of a Southeast Asian street food stall. The colorful plastic chairs in the garden also perfectly complement the Okinawan atmosphere.
The coffee is grown on the farm, and a great advantage is that you can enjoy Okinawan coffee, which is not often available.
This coffee has a rich flavor but is free of off-flavors, making it easy to drink even for those who don't usually like black coffee.
In addition to hot chocolate and soft drinks, you can also order light meals such as hot dogs and pudding, making it a great place to stop for a break during a drive.

Zhivago Coffee, inspired by the American West Coast, is a stylish cafe located in Chatan Town.
There's the cozy WORKS and the new Roastery location, and I recommend both.
They are particular not only about the atmosphere of the shop but also about the coffee itself, and they are pursuing high quality coffee by inviting Yoshiyuki Nakamura, the owner of "Mame Polepole" in Okinawa City and the runner-up of the "World Coffee Roasting Championship 2018," as their trainer.
The food menu includes light snacks such as scones and the popular tiramisu, all of which pair perfectly with coffee.
They also offer sweet drinks like cafe mochas and mud shakes, so this shop is recommended not only for those who want to enjoy carefully brewed coffee, but for everyone.

8. YAMADA COFFEE OKINAWA

YAMADA COFFEE OKINAWA is a coffee shop located in Ginowan, Ginowan City.
Because we use coffee beans with a clear history from cultivation and processing to transportation and storage, you can enjoy high-quality coffee.
The shop has a calm atmosphere and consists of counter seats, so it's not suitable for large groups, but it's perfect for slowly savoring a cup of coffee.
The coffee costs 500 yen for the first cup, but they offer a great deal where the second cup is only 150 yen, so you can easily compare the tastes.
They don't serve meals, but they have desserts like coffee jelly and cheesecake that go well with coffee, making it a perfect place to take a break.

9. Tettoh Coffee

Tettoh Coffee, located in Einochi, Uruma City, is literally a shop at the foot of a "steel tower."
The logo of this stylish shop is also based on a transmission tower.
The interior is spacious, the lighting is warm and inviting, and the background music is jazz, creating a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere where you can easily find yourself unwinding.
The coffee, which is roasted in-house, is available in a range of roasts from light to dark, and a chart showing the roast levels is also provided, making it easy to choose.
The coffee is delicious, of course, but their popular egg sandwich is also superb.
The combination of the thickly cooked egg and the subtle hint of mustard is simply irresistible.
Since they open at 8 AM, it's also recommended for breakfast.
As a side note, I heard that Tetto Coffee's egg sandwich is made using a recipe directly from the owner of the original shop I mentioned earlier.

10. COFFEE SENTI

Coffee Senty, located in Motobu Town, is a shop that opened on July 7, 2021.
Driven by the desire to create a coffee shop that would revitalize Motobu Town in Okinawa Prefecture, they raised funds through crowdfunding and were able to open the shop.
The interior is chic and simply designed, and spacious, making it easy to spend a long, relaxing time there.
The menu consists only of coffee and tea; there is no food on the menu. However, there is a spice curry restaurant attached, so you could go there for lunch.
Besides drip coffee, they also serve delicious lattes made with their high-quality espresso machine, so if you're interested, please give them a try!
