1. What kind of shop is Ball Donut Park?

Ball-Donut-ParkBall Donut Park (BDP) is located on Paradise Street, just off the bustling main street, roughly halfway down Kokusai Street.

The tiled interior, illuminated by indirect lighting, has a calm atmosphere, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind.
On sunny days, the windows can be opened wide to create an open terrace.

Ball-Donut-ParkWe were greeted by friendly staff in such a stylish store. Their smiles alone made all the fatigue from shopping disappear.

2. Check the menu! What kind of sweets originate from Okinawa?!

Ball-Donut-Park"You can't really find BDP's donuts anywhere else!" the shop manager said, which made me think "Huh?", but on this day I ordered two of their most popular items.

BDP's style is to fry the donuts after receiving the order, so I waited excitedly for a few minutes...

The cute and stylish lady brought over some equally cute and stylish donuts!
The first thing that surprised me was the appearance. It's a donut, but it's not a "ring"! And it's a round, bite-sized donut with a generous amount of toppings on top!

Ball-Donut-ParkFirst up is the most popular "Lemon & Sugar" (8 pieces / 380 yen excluding tax).
Enjoy a donut generously topped with mildly sweet sugar, then squeeze some lemon juice over it!

The donut dough, infused with tapioca pearls, is chewy and fragrant, and with every bite, a refreshing sweet and sour lemonade-like flavor fills your mouth.
Freshly fried donuts are incredibly light yet have an addictive flavor. Delicious!

Ball-Donut-ParkNext up is "Mango & Mixed Berry & Banana" (6 pieces / 600 yen excluding tax).
"It's topped with plenty of fruit and whipped cream, so I recommend it. This might be my favorite!" the shop manager told me with a smile.

Indeed, the donut is topped with an abundance of fruit, whipped cream, and fragrant coconut! It's a gorgeous treat that no one could possibly dislike.

Ball-Donut-ParkThere are many other tempting items on the menu, including "Honey Cinnamon & Nuts" (pictured center), which is irresistible for those with a sweet tooth, "Taco Balls" (pictured right), which go well with beer, and the Japanese-style "Kinako & Black Honey with Shiratama" (pictured left).

We often see donuts covered in chocolate or icing, but donuts with toppings are rare. Could this be the first of their kind in Japan?!
That's why BDP is known as "a sweets originating from Okinawa"!

3. The delicious relationship between donuts and detox

Ball-Donut-ParkAnother key word to remember in BDP is detox.
The dream of "detoxing at a donut shop" is made a reality by... the "enzyme cider" handed to me by a handsome young man who looks like he's detoxing just by looking at him!

I was surprised to learn that the enzyme, which is mainly made from seasonal fruits and vegetables from Okinawa Prefecture, has a different recipe each day.

This day's recipe uses loofah, winter melon, dragon fruit, green papaya, and lemon.
It had a refreshing taste with just the right amount of sweetness, allowing you to enjoy the freshness of the vegetables and fruits as they are!

Ball-Donut-ParkThis enzyme cider is recommended not only for women who are concerned about dieting, but also for men who tend to have unhealthy lifestyles. Some of the male staff at BDP are regular drinkers and say they feel "great every day!"

We also have "Fruit Punch" made with the same enzyme, and "Enzyme Sangria," which is irresistible for those who love alcohol!

Ball-Donut-ParkIn addition, BDP offers a wide selection of visually appealing original drinks.
Furthermore, BDP is one of the few places around Kokusai Street where you can enjoy alcoholic beverages even during the daytime. You can indulge in the adult luxury of enjoying a drink while eating a donut under the bright sun!

4. Access to Ball Donut Park

Ball-Donut-ParkBDP is about an 8-minute walk from Kencho-mae Station on the Yui Rail, along Kokusai-dori Street. Turn at the sign for Paradise Street, and it's immediately on your left.
There is no dedicated parking area for the store, so if you are coming by car, please use a nearby coin-operated parking lot.

Ball-Donut-ParkBy the way, BDP's donuts are available for takeout, so it's a great idea to enjoy them at your hotel while reflecting on your day's travels. (Of course, eating them freshly fried in the shop is the best option!)

The cute packaging and flyers will also make great travel memories!
